On Thursday, September 12, 2024, SNOWBOARDER Magazine is partnering with Big SNOW in New Jersey for a community ride day to close out summer the best way possible: snowboarding with friends. In a serious upgrade to the standard-issue end-of-summer heatwaves and back-to-school sales, on September 12th, come board at Big SNOW's indoor oasis, the perfect setting to whet your snowboarding appetite, two months before winter opening day.
East Coast community powerhouses are joining forces for the Block Party presented by 5 Hour Energy, bringing together their collective communities for laps in the fridge. Join SHRED Foundation, Chill Foundation, Beyond the Boundaries, The Rose Club, We Are Mental, and more to be announced for five hours of snowboarding, board demos from Nitro, mini clinics on hill, prizes, raffles, music, and more. And it's open for all snowboarders. All ages. All ability levels.
No matter if you call it Taylor Ham or pork roll (editor's note: in this region of Jersey, it's Taylor Ham), or if you live in NYC and just put cream cheese on your bagel, everyone is welcome to hang out and hot lap. It's community cross pollination. A party in the park. A fiesta in the fridge. Group effect in the Garden State. Boarding in the home of The Boss. And just like The Boss sings, "Baby, you were born to take runs." Or something like that.
So on Thursday, September 12th, get to American Dream Mall in East Rutherford in the only state that calls it the "shore" and not the "coast" for a community ride day for snowboarders of all ages and abilities—everyone is welcome at the Block Party at Big SNOW.

The event is free to attend, but you need a Big SNOW slope access ticket or season pass. Tickets are good for two hours. When you RSVP, you'll receive a link to purchase a special discounted slope access ticket.
