What do Miles Fallon and Daniil Kvyat have in common? They both ride fast on a Lamborghini.
Fallon, the snowboarder from Toms River, New Jersey, didn’t buy a new car or pivot careers to become a professional race car driver. Rather, he’s riding the newest Capita collaboration down the slopes.
Capita snowboards and Union Binding Co. have teamed up with Italian sport scar maker Lamborghini for a limited run of 200 boards and bindings inspired by the iconic design lines. Fallon served as the snowboarder using the board in the promotional video put out by the two companies on December 10, 2024. Tap to watch below.
“At the intersection of precision engineering, innovation, and bold creativity, a groundbreaking product collaboration has emerged. CAPiTA Snowboards, Union Binding Company, and Automobili Lamborghini have joined forces to craft products that transcend boundaries and redefine excellence,” Capita said in the YouTube video announcing the collaboration.
“This collaboration blends Automobili Lamborghini's unparalleled heritage of performance and aesthetics with Capita’s 100% clean energy snowboard manufacturing and Union’s relentless pursuit of performance-driven snowboard bindings.”
The snowboard is known as the Capita Warpspeed Automobil Lamborghini, and it’s an all-mountain board crafted with a unique tip and tail shape, and is dubbed “featherlight” as it is made with a megacarbon layup. It is available in 154 cm, 157 cm, and 160 cm, and costs $1,499.95. The 157cm and 160cm are sold out at the time of publishing this article.
The bindings are a take of Union’s Falcor. It features a forged carbon highback, and the Automobili Lamborghini logo. They're available in medium and large, and cost $499.95. Both items can be found for sale at Capita and Union’s respective websites.
“These limited-edition bindings combine Union’s renowned durability with Automobili Lamborghini’s legacy of speed and precision,” a press release says. “Whether carving perfectly groomed runs or conquering big mountain terrain, the Union Falcor delivers superior control and stability.”
The products were debuted at the Lamborghini Esperienza Neve Yakeshi in China, along with the display of a Lamborghini Revuelto, the brand’s high-performance electric vehicle, performing on ice for the first time on the frozen expanse of Yunlong Lake.
It’s not the first time Capita or Union has collaborated with another brand or entity, though it is very likely that it is the first time a luxury car company has been the collaborator. It is the second collaboration announced in just two weeks, as Capita announced it would produce a limited run of Big Nice Burgundy snowboards in collaboration with The Bomb Hole and its host Chris Grenier, who is also a Capita team rider.
Union has partnered with snowboard-centric brands such as Airblaster, Cobra Dogs, Beyond Medals, and Method Magazine in the past. Meanwhile, Capita has teamed up with Seinfeld and Hello Kitty.
