Boarding for Breast Cancer is on a nation-wide fundraising tour, and California is up next.

The tour will stop at Dodge Ridge and Bear Valley on February 1, 2025 and February 2, 2025, respectively. It will be the third and fourth stops on the Love Your Peaks Winter Prevention + Fundraising Series presented by LivOn Labs.

The series supports B4BC’s education, prevention, and survivorship programs while spreading the organization’s mission of a healthy, active lifestyle and early detection as the best means of breast cancer prevention.

The organization’s cofounders Tina Basich and Shannon Dunn-Downing will both be at the two stops on the tour. Participants will get to ride with two of the “most iconic snowboarders in the industry.”

Festivities kick off at 9 a.m. at Dodge Ridge with pink poker run registration and breast health education. Merch and raffle tickets will be available to purchase, and registration includes a $25 donation. Registrants will get a B4BC beanie. After the poker run, riders will head out on a tribute ride down Gentle Ben to honor those affected by breast cancer.

An afterparty will be held at Bear Valley Lodge on Saturday night, and 20% of drink proceeds will go toward B4BC.

Then on Sunday, activities start at 8 a.m. with lift ticket specials, a pink terrain park, and breast health education. You can register for exciting raffles and Boobie Bingo, and a tribute ride will be held at the top of Porridge.

After this stop, the Love Your Peaks series is set to hit 10 more resorts. After California, the group will jet over to the east coast and head to New Hampshire’s Waterville Valley on February 8 and 9, 2025. Then the group heads to Loon Mountain in New Hampshire on February 22 and 23, 2025, before coming back west to Palisades Tahoe on March 1, 2025.

Here are the remaining stops:

Brundage Mountain in Idaho: March 7 through March 9, 2025
The Summit at Snoqualmie in Washington: March 15, 2025
Saddleback in Maine: March 15
Homesick at Stratton in Vermont: March 21 through March 23, 2025
Killington in Vermont: March 29, 2025
Sierra-at-Tahoe in California: April 12, 2025
Mammoth Mountain in California: May 4, 2025

B4BC is a non-profit that was founded in 1996 with the mission of preparing young people with education on early breast cancer detection. The group promotes the importance of a healthy lifestyle as the best means of prevention, and provides support for those affected by breast cancer. The non-profit was co-founded by Lisa Hudson, who currently is the sitting president, and was inspired by Monica Steward, who began her battle with breast cancer at the age of 26.
