Are you looking for love? With all due respect to Rihanna, it’s time to stop trying to find it in a hopeless place. Why don’t you just head to the chairlift?

Crested Butte is holding its own version of speed dating on Valentine’s Day this year. Head to the Teocalli Lift on February 14, 2025, and see if sparks fly (between you and your date, not the chairlift of course).

Staff will be on hand to take a Polaroid picture of you and your lift partner at the top of the mountain, so if you do go the distance, you’ll have a nice keepsake on your wedding day. See below.

“Who knows? Your next great love (or ski & ride buddy) could be just a chairlift ride away!” the post says.

The event will go from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. local time.

If you’ve already met your person and are looking to get married, don’t worry. Loveland Ski Area has got you covered.

For the 34th year, Loveland will play host to a mass wedding on Valentine’s Day. Lovebirds can get married at noon during a 30-minute ceremony at the start of Forest Meadow.

All you need to be a part of this big day is a Colorado marriage license, and to sign in at the Lower Ridge room the morning of February 14. Those who pre-register can get two lift tickets for the price of one. Drink tokens and wedding cupcakes are included. Hurry though, February 12, 2025 (today) is the last day couples are able to pre-register. It costs $25 per couple (way cheaper than planning your own wedding, that’s for sure).

There’s only two ways down from the ceremony: by skis or by board, so make sure you’re able to get down the mountain in tact after you tie the knot. Forest Meadow provides base access to the mountain, and is a beginner run.

There will be an Après party at 1:30 p.m. for married couples and their guests who want to celebrate.

“Couples are encouraged to dress in appropriate “ski-wedding” attire as there will be great photos opportunities to create memories that will last a lifetime,” Loveland says on its website. “Please keep in mind that Forest Meadow is located just under 12,000 feet and that dressing warmly is important even on a sunny day. The wedding will not be rescheduled because of snow or cold weather, so be prepared!”
