The free viewing area at the X Games Aspen is no longer, but Roaring Fork Valley high schoolers will still get to watch the action for free.
Aspen Skiing Company announced that it will give out 500 tickets on a first come, first serve basis to students in Buttermilk. Students venturing in from out of town will also have access to half-priced tickets.
To get a free ticket, students must line up in person on the day of the contests they’d like to attend. If they show a valid student ID from a Roaring Fork Valley high school and are among the first 500 people in line, they will get a free ticket. These tickets cannot be transferred or sold.
The X Games will be held in Aspen from January 23 through the 25. All tickets will include entry to the Super Pipe, Street Style, Slopestyle, Big Air, and Knuckle Huck contests. ILLENIUM and Daily Bread are the musical guests, and their performances are included in the cost of a ticket.

A general admission ticket will cost $50. Spectators can upgrade to the Après Lounge pass and the Chalet pass. The Après Lounge pass features access to a lunge inside The Inn at Aspen, two drink tokens per day, and an area closer to the action during contests, and will cost $476 for three days. The Chalet Pass includes a meet-and-greet with athletes, and costs $1,551 for three days.
Children under the age of 5 are admitted for free.
Thursday will feature the Women’s and Men’s Ski Knuckle Huck, Women’s Snowboard Big Air, and Men’s Snowboard SuperPipe. Friday will feature Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle, Streetstyle, and superpipe, as well as Men’s and Women’s Snowboard Knuckle Huck. Men’s Snowboard Slopestyle, Streetstyle, and Snowboard Big Air will all be held on Saturday.
Snowboarders Zeb Powell, Pat Fava, and Chloe Kim are all expected to compete in the 2025 X Games, according to a promotional video that dropped yesterday. Skiers Eileen Gu and Birk Ruud have committed as well.
