There's no better way to get hyped to head to the mountain than by waxing your board and throwing some snowboarding on the TV while you do it. Here's 10 video projects that have come out in the last year that are sure to get you hyped to hit the slopes.

1. Knights of The Brown Table

A highly anticipated film that debuted in December 2023, Jared Elston’s backcountry riding sticks out to me in this the most. It’s a feel-good ender. The project from Brock Nielsen and Brown Cinema has a really retro feel to it throughout it all, despite a soundtrack that features King Gizzard and the Wizard Lizard and Action Bronson. And why is it called Brown Cinema? Well, if you mix up all the colors together, you get brown. The same goes for the different style of riding from this crew that features Sam Taxwood, Gabe Ferguson, and more.

2. Horsepower

This Monster Energy project features the riding of Henna Ikola and Lauren “Lolo” Derminio, and it’s filled with heavy tricks, both backcountry and street alike. But about once a day since the video dropped, I’ll catch myself daydreaming about Ylfa Rúnarsdóttir’s front flip to drop in at the 2:19 mark of this video. Insane.

3. Sequencer

It’s kind of lame that Quicksilver sponsored one of the best video projects of the 2023-2024 season and then just immediately got out of snowboarding. This one has a heavy lineup of riders: Red Gerard, Travis Rice, Griffin Siebert. The list goes on. My favorite parts include Miles Fallon treating a mountain village like an in-bounds terrain park, and Siebert and Bryan Fox riding to Charley Crockett’s “The Man From Waco”. Can we get more country music in video parts?

4. Left Right

What’s the difference between carving and giving up? There isn’t any. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We’ve heard it all before. But guess what? An entire video focused on the beauty of turning might have been just what us over-30 boarders needed to keep our confidence up. Narrated by Mike Basich and filmed everywhere from Japan to the High Alps of Europe, the scenery is just as good as the riding.

5. Inexclusive

What's the most significant barrier for a day of snowboarding? Ask anyone, and they’ll say lift ticket prices. So Nitro sent Elias Elhardt and Jason Robinson down the road from Jackson Hole Mountain Resort to Snow King Resort, where they jib benches, carve into gullies, and have a ton of fun.

6. Bonecrusher

It’s a classic ThirtyTwo movie. Kick it all off with a montage of Austin Vizz shouting “f*ck” 29 times in a row, jibbing a no parking sign and back-lip prezteling a rail. End it all with Pat Fava and some Chief Keef. Enjoy some bloopers in the credits.

7. Joy

It’s Ben Ferguson, Sage Kotsenburg, and Red Gerard. Joy documents the crew from the pursuit of Olympic gold to the pursuit of bigger mountains and deeper snow.

8. The Sun Came Out

Zeb in the backcountry? Raibu Katayama and Zoi Sadowski-Synnot wearing matching neon yellow jackets? Mikkel Bang powder slashes? It’s 15 minutes of Burton’s best backcoutry footage.

9. Four If By Sea

Luke Winkelmann, Niels Schack, Grace Warner, and Rob Roethler take it to the streets of Nova Scotia, and Rob finishes the video off with the gnarliest wall ride you’ve ever seen from a 6’7 dude.

10. Shift

Mikko Rehnberg has shifted his focus from contests to filming projects, and the world is better for it.
