The most decorated woman in X Games history has joined the Coal Headwear team.
Jamie Anderson’s name has been in the headlines quite a bit in the last few months. She became a mother in 2023, with the birth of her daughter Misty Rose, filmed a project for Monster Engery, and in late November, revealed that she’s pregnant with her second child.
“Motherhood has completely transformed my connection to the mountains,” she said. “It’s not just about progression anymore – it’s about showing the next generation that we can honor both our competitive fire and our responsibility to these wild places. That’s what drew me to Coal.”

In addition to being the most decorated women in X Games history, Anderson is a two-time Olympic gold medalist. She’s currently a member of the U.S. Snowboard Team, but not competing at the moment. Last year, she rode in the Natural Selection Tour.
“Jamie’s story is bigger than her Olympic golds and X Games dominance,” Coal marketing director Mikey LeBlanc said in the press release. “She shows us how to blend elite performance with mindful living, motherhood with mountain culture, and personal growth with planetary responsibility. Her constant evolution as an athlete and advocate is inspiring, and we’re stoked to help her share her story with the world.
Anderson and her husband Tyler Nicholson took Misty Rose to Alaska, and filmed some crazy helicopter lines for the Monster film project Great Alaskan Adventure, which was released at the start of the new year. Watch that below.
The project focuses on the couple’s desire for adventure, and their need to share that with their young daughter. Tyler pilots the airplane through the Alaskan mountains, looks out the front windshield, and proclaims, “I’m moving to Alaska. This is rad.”
Hours later, when he sits at the summit of a mountain range in the backcountry, preparing to drop in on his snowboard, he changes his mind.
"I don't even know if I like Alaska anymore, dude," he says.
The partnership with Coal will allow her to extend her relationship with her holistic approach to both her riding and parenthood, she said in a release.
Coal Headwear got its start as a core snowboarding and skateboarding brand in 2002. Since then, the company has evolved into a lifestyle brand that combines technical performance with style for those looking for versatility between the mountains and the city. The company is part of the C3 group, which also consists of Capita Snowboards and Union Bindings. Jamie Anderson – and Mikey LeBlanc, for that matter – both ride for Union.
